Hands On Farm Classes

Get your future farmer/homesteader ready for a future in sustainability and self reliance.

 

These classes are a fun and hands-on way to learn about homesteading/farming, animal care, and plants.

 

Kids and parents get a full, personalized farm tour to learn about caring for all the animals on the farm, you may even get to milk a goat.

 

Kids will also:

  • Plant  and learn about  herbs and veggies

  • Candling eggs to see baby chicks growing inside the eggs

  • Collect eggs

  • Do farm chores

  • Do a scavenger hunt

  • Farm related craft

  • Taste farm products

  • Goodie bag to take home

 

This is a great way to supplement your homeschool curriculum, or just bring the family out to learn how to begin homesteading/farming.

 

 

 

The cost is$25/person including adults.  The classes are designed for children 5 and over.  Younger siblings are welcome to attend at no additional cost.  There are NO refunds.  Parents MUST remain with their children.

Can I bring a group?

Yes, absolutely.  I can accommodate up to 10 kids.

 

 

What ages are the classes designed for?

The classes are designed for kids 5 and up.  Younger siblings are welcome, however, they will not receive a certificate or have a craft to do.

 

 

Kids under 4 are free.

 

 

Can I drop my child(ren) off?

No, these classes are designed for the family.  So many moms have said that they get as much, if not more, out of the classes as their kids.

 

 

Is there a refund if it rains or if I have to cancel?

There are no refunds.  We will have the class as long as there is not severe weather.  If the weather is severe and we must cancel, I will do my best to reschedule, but this is NOT guaranteed.
